LIFE AT WLC

At WLC we embrace every resident like family. From the moment your loved one wakes up in the morning, our nurses, therapists, and trained staff will be there to help them work and heal throughout the day. Their day will be filled full of fun, engaging activities.

DINING & NUTRITION

We can tell you how we take extra steps to ensure the food we cook for our residents is nutritious, follows each individual’s needs and guidelines from their physician and above all else – tastes good… But we would rather show you. Come in and experience mealtime with us. Just give us a call and let us know when we can serve you!

ACTIVITIES & RECREATION

We take having fun pretty seriously at WLC. Each WLC home has at least one full-time staff member dedicated to creating a social atmosphere while also incorporating arts and crafts, cooking, games, puzzles and visits to area events and attractions. Our resident homes are also very fortunate to receive entertainment from wonderful musicians, performers, religious organizations, youth groups, civic organizations and more. We also host special events around the holidays and other various times during the year for residents and their families to enjoy.

BEAUTY & BARBER SHOP

A trip to the salon can make all the difference in how a person feels. We are proud to offer salon services by trained cosmetologists at all of our communities. No matter if it is a trim and a shave or a new cut or permanent, our salons offer a variety of options for you or your loved one.

Each community hosts different hours for their salon so make sure to check with our social services department to determine a time that works best for your schedule.

HEALTH CARE

There are times where a day or two in the hospital isn’t enough. Your body needs time and sometimes therapy to heal before you can go home and get back to everyday living. This is where our WLC communities are here to help.

Our staff of excellent nursing assistants, nurses and therapists will help you get back to on your feet and back to health. Our communities have excellent therapy programs to help you recover after a surgery, joint replacement, a stroke, or any situation that requires therapy. We are here to help you through every step of the way while providing the best in care and support available.

Physician & Nursing Care

If you or your loved one is finding it difficult or is no longer able to perform activities of daily living without assistance, WLC is a great option as a trustworthy community and will provide you with ease of mind. Our staff is trained to assist each person as an individual and every staff member works as a team to build a safe, secure, and skilled quality of life.

Even if your loved one is still able to provide their own care but is finding difficulty due to declines in health or memory, fall risks, or even decreased socialization – WLC may be the answer. Please do not hesitate to contact any of our homes and speak with the administrator or social services to learn more.

Each community has a physician who makes weekly or bi-weekly visits to each resident. Our physician partners are highly skilled, tenured and understand our mission and goals.

Respite & Hospice Care

WLC understands that every situation is unique. We offer respite services when a full-time caretaker is not available. This provides a safe and secure solution for short stays. Even though the care is not long-term, we will gladly provide a plan to ensure that all needs are not only met but exceeded during this type of stay.

All WLC communities work closely with the excellent hospice and home health staff in the region to provide a combination of medical, spiritual, and psychological support at the end of life.

Our staff will work closely with individual physician plans to ensure pain management and comfort is the priority.

Friends and family are encouraged to visit their loved one during this very important time. We want you to rest easy knowing the decision to choose WLC is the very best in care and encourage you to call, stop by, or email us with any questions you may have.
